Prior to enabling any touchscreen function on any touchscreen device, including tablets and touchscreen laptops, the user should be able to twice touch an Enable Screen badge to release or lock touchscreen. It should include a timer to determine how long the screen remains active for, without activity. That will preclude the device from enabling unplanned events, such as unscheduled emails, text messages or phone calls.
